Meyers celebrate office transformation

Meyers Estates, Poundbury’s dynamic family run estate agency, is thrilled with its redesigned, refurbished offices and celebrated with David Taylor, Dorchester Town Mayor, performing a grand opening on the evening of Tuesday 23rd April.

Meyers has come a long way since 2011 and its humble beginnings in the garage at the home of its founders, Mark and Claire Meyer. Their mission began then to change the face of UK of estate agency sector with a clear vision – to create a very high-performance estate agency, while supporting their local community.

Eight years on and Meyers is thriving on all levels – it has built a reputation for speedily selling and letting homes at top prices; it has supported local causes to the tune of many tens of thousands of pounds, and the agency has won several high profile, national awards for its high-performing, customer-focused service.

Now a multi-branch agency covering the whole of Dorset and beyond, and with its own charitable cause – The GAP Project in partnership with Dorset Mind – Meyers’ Poundbury HQ  has been transformed with a timeless interior design dreamed up by Helen Winters, Bournemouth’s Eco-Interior Designer, reflecting its calm and considered, smart-thinking and professional approach.

The reception space is crisp and bright with a relaxing lounge area, a high table with bar stools perfect for poring over property details, a comfy hanging chair well positioned for the view, and a reception desk emblazoned with the colourful Meyers logo and its befitting strapline, ‘Moving Beyond Expectations’, mounted into a wooden frame that coordinates with the light oak effect flooring.

One wall is painted with a wonderful ombre-style pattern of blues and on another is a stunningly impressive sea-scape mural. The opposing wall is fully glazed, looking through to the smart workspace – the practical and pro-active ‘heart’ of the operation, and the board room has also been refreshed – uncluttered and in pure white with a reclaimed wood table, the ideal environment for thrashing out new ideas and putting plans into place.

David Taylor, Mayor of Dorchester,  kindly be attended the celebration and local people were invited to share bubbles and nibbles at the event.

Mark Meyer said: “We are absolutely elated that our concept of a high performance, ethical, community-focused estate agency with family-run branches is proving a winning formula, and the event is as much about celebrating that as it is our fresh new spaces. We’re extremely grateful for the support of the Mayor who is backing our newest charitable aim, The GAP Project with Dorset Mind, and we hope that our past, present and future clients, friends and associates will be able to share this occasion with us.”
